Episode Recap
At dawn, the Ylvogganite hordes surge upon Qaszrafa as Arammog, transformed into the Wrath of Ylvogg, leads a brutal assault. The group joins the Sentorrian March and Qaszrafan soldiers on the battlements to repel waves of Ylvogganite warriors, siege engines, and demonic forces. Just as they begin to gain ground, Arammog’s seers open portals through the dark dream, allowing fiends to bypass the gates. With Crayne’s arcane assistance, the group turns the portals back against their attackers, creating an opening to reach Arammog’s ritual site directly.
Crossing the dark dream, they arrive at Arammog’s sanctum and disrupt his vile ritual to summon Nelzyrrath, the demonic dragon of Ylvogg. Destroying demonic icons and fighting through Arammog’s elite warriors, they thwart his summoning, forcing Arammog to confront them directly. Partially transformed by Ylvogg’s power, Arammog wields the axe Viszigrav and dark magic in a desperate final fight. When he falls, a character sacrifices themselves to destroy the primordial shard embedded in Arammog’s heart, triggering a deadly explosion of chaotic magic.
With Arammog’s death, his demonic influence shatters, weakening the Ylvogganite forces and giving Qaszrafa’s defenders the edge they need to drive back the horde. Their victory secured, the group’s choices and sacrifices ripple through Qaszrafa and beyond, leaving a lasting impact on Velanaura’s future as they return to the lives they have irrevocably changed.
