Episode Introduction
Several years have passed since the conclusion of the Arcane Rift Crisis, and the adventurers of the Mortal Guardians have known peace—relatively speaking, of course, for the lives of those who battle dark forces are never truly at ease. Their vigilance and dedication have earned them great renown throughout the realms of Velanaura, and this success often draws them to the forefront where new dangers emerge. No sooner do they drive the denizens of evil back beyond the umbral veil than do shouts and calls arise to alert the protectors of the world to a new threat elsewhere.
One such call sounds now within the Mortal Guardians’ home city of Wintervaeld from the voice of a wealthy traveler, philanthropist, and historian who specializes in the ancient tribal peoples and customs of the wilder domains far to the east—where barbarian hordes have for millennia held sway over nearly every community, faith, and faction. The professor worries that malign actors are gathering strength and seeking ancient artifacts in a brazen attempt to enact the will of a savage and malevolent demon lord—Ylvogg the Vile. But what evidence does this historian possess to support his outlandish claims? And what secrets await buried in the past, concealed behind walls of discarded tradition and forsaken loyalty?
Join us for the exciting start of a new adventure series as the Mortal Guardians battle… The Wrath of Ylvogg!

Episode Recap
The Mortal Guardians assemble at Wintervaeld to take on a mission that leads them to Arammog, an orc scholar from Cindervaeld, who reveals a dark concern: tribal seers are searching for Viszigrav, the fang of Nelzyrrath—an ancient demonic dragon—which could unleash demonic devastation once more. Clues point to the ancient tomb of the hero who slew Nalzyrrath, kept in a mausoleum beneath the temple of Righsentor.
Entering the catacombs, the party encounters eerie signs of intrusion, including slain acolytes and gruesome ritual carvings that foretell divine profanation. Guided by a reluctant paladin named Nesh, they navigate treacherous corridors guarded by enchanted golems, ultimately uncovering the desecrated tomb of Lashenastra. There, they face Rauggma—a tribal war chief with a deep-seated vendetta against Arammog—and his darkly empowered warriors in a fierce battle for the ancient relic. Rauggma ultimately escapes, leaving behind a cryptic journal revealing an even darker plot.
In a foreboding epilogue, Rauggma and his ally, the fearsome shaman Dralkarn, perform an ominous ritual, glimpsing a vision of the forgotten temple of Ylvogg, where power long dormant awaits.
