After countering the attempted destruction of the Mortal Guardians in Aryamza, our brave heroes crushed their coven adversaries and drove them out of the city entirely. Now they focus their efforts on pursuing them through the veils into the misty, desolation of Vaelda Umbra—the endless plane of shadow and despair where all things pass before descending into the Abyss. Relying upon the cooperative efforts of new allies and old friends, our heroes are ready to make the first strides into this precarious domain of umbral deceit and bleak mystery, and they shall begin in the cryptic city of Gloomnuor—the de facto capital of Vaelda Umbra. Join us as we delve into the darkness… where only the dead hold dominion!

Episode Recap
The courageous adventurers of the Mortal Guardians delved into the city of Gloomnuor in pursuit of the Coven of Zul and established contact with several new potential allies. One of these, a vampire called Dravillor, offered detailed information on the workings of one of the city’s most notorious gangs—and specifically its dealings with the coven. After pursuing this lead and infiltrating one of the gang’s suspected front companies, our heroes discovered that they were likely kidnapping citizens of Gloomnuor and vistors with them—and then shipping them off to be fodder for horrific rituals at the hands of the coven’s evil mages! Before they could escape, however, they were beset by a crew of assassins, raising curious questions about the nature of their new “ally”.
After defeating the assassins, the heroes were able to follow the trail of this disreputable organization to the city docks where they were reported to be carrying out an operation that very night. The heroes broke into a guarded warehouse, disrupted a vile ritual, and then launched an assault upon the gang and its coven colleagues who were in the midst of loading victims onto a ship bound for the Shadowreach! After a tough and deadly battle, the heroes defeated their adversaries—as well as their noble mistress and financier—and saved the unfortunate victims from what could have been a dire fate. With this new information, they were able to secure crucial leads for the conflict in the days ahead—when the coven will surely try to strike back!
