Episode Introduction
The Battle of Cindervaeld continues for the Mortal Guardians as the armies of the Stars Concordat and the Light of Cindervaeld converge. While the fighting is intense and spread throughout the city, our engagement in the Quarter of Trades will likely decide the victor. The coven has gathered all their strength and focused it here and now upon us, but so have we called upon our allies to make our final stand. With the blessing of the Everburning Light, we will surely prevail. But, even as we fight our battle on the streets above, dark and sinister machinations are at work in the Undergrim below. The coven has in place ancient alliances, and now they call upon the darkest denizens of the deep to aid them. What monstrous entities will soon emerge—and what new horrors they will portend?

Episode Recap
The Mortal Guardians, reinforced by all their brothers, sisters, friends, and colleagues from Winterveald—and elsewhere!—brought the battle to the Stars Concordat with tremendous and unbeatable ferosity! And they were victorious! The forces of the Light of Cindervaeld pushed the Stars Concordat all the way out of the Embersway in the city’s Quarter of Trades and carved a path right up to the Quarter of Sovereigns where the coven and their conspirators had besieged the royal palace. In the aftermath of that historic success, our heroes then hunted down the Stars Concordat’s forward military commander, Master Talvaari, pursing him through a teleport into the Undergrim Highway where he had hoped to meet with an uulthyr delegation. However, the uulthyr were revealed to have double-crossed the coven and destroyed their base camp in the deeps, and the heroes learned that an uulthyr queen had even emerged from far below the Undergrim Citadel! She captured both them and Talvaari in a psionic prison in order to evaluate their tenacity and commitment toward the destruction of the coven. Once she was satisfied that they could be trusted, she allowed them to break free and permitted them to demonstrate their sincerity in battle against the coven commander. After Talvaari’s defeat, the heroes received the uulthyr queen’s ultimatum: destroy the Coven of Zul utterly or face her threat of war. With that message, our brave Mortal Guardians returned to the surface to continue the retaking of Cindervaeld!
