Guardians! We need your help! One of our own has gone missing--captured, we fear, by the Coven of Zul! The agent disappeared while traveling to Mirabar to investigate a possible rift, and we need you to brave the wildlands and find our colleague. Additionally, we urge caution in the extreme, as new, terrifying creatures are rumored to prowl the area. This is all, no doubt, the work of our enemies in the coven. Episode Recap
After an agent of The Mortal Guardians went missing, several courageous members of the guild joined the bounty hunter, Mason, and pursued the agent to his last known location on the imperial highway. There they confronted and defeated nefarious brigands who revealed that they were hired by the Coven of Zul to thwart any search for the missing Mortal Guardian. Following the trail, the group ventured into the nearby swamps and encountered strange new denizens of darkness crafted by the evil magic of the coven: hideous rift ghouls given the power to rend their victims' minds. With the unlikely aid of the druid, Nalga'tura, previously hired by the cult--as well as assistance from the enigmatic witch, Old Fel--the group destroyed the ghouls and followed a path to an ancient keep deep in the heart of the forest. There they breached the keep, defeated the coven's minions, and saved their missing agent: none other than young Rian of Amphail! Additionally, the guild captured a valuable asset at the keep: a courier working for the mysterious and brutally efficient industrialist known only as the Conductor. Discovering an alliance between the Coven of Zul and the Conductor bodes ill for the future of the world, but it gives the Mortal Guardians vital knowledge about the machinations of their enemies--and the perilous road ahead.
